   NEWS!!
September 26, 2007

I added a new 9 hole course today. Lakewinds GC in Rushville, NY. It is just on the other side of Canandaigua Lake across from Bristol Hills GC. I hope to play here this coming weekend. 9 holes with cart is $12 on the weekend. A good buy.

There are now 103 courses listed, and 86 of these are public/semi-private.

Updated the Sonyea Golf Course which was previously the Keshequa Golf Course. If you out near Letchworth, this is a fun 9 hole course to play.

My apologies to all who have tried to write a comment on my website for the past month, but could not due to a programming error. It is now fixed. If you encounter something wrong with the site, please email me, and let me know. Thanks.

Ontario Golf Course has now become the Brookwoods golf course and is now public instead of private. Fees are $25 to walk 18 and $39 to ride. I'll have to get out and play this soon.

Updated Deerfield's course info. The Wizard of Oz names, Emerald, Wizard, and Witch are now North, South, and East. The Men's White tee distance for N/S is shorter, and most of the holes have updated slope and ratings.

I removed the Belfry from the list of courses. The course is closed, with no plans to open. It was open for about two months last summer for walking. I kick myself for not jumping at the chance to play it then. From what I could find out, the course may be sold by the town for back taxes. It looks like the course went into a total meltdown after the owner died.

April 25, 2006

I finished 84 of the 85 public courses listed on the RGL site. Number 85 is The Belfry which is not open, and may never be open. So as of 10/4/5, I completed all the holes on all the available public courses! I ended up at Calendonia on a perfect day in October last year playing 18 alone. Hopefully the Belfry will open up and I can get in number 85 this year.

April 24, 2006

Victor Hills South wins the East Side course poll over 2nd place finisher Centerpointe.

September 16, 2005

Riverton squeaks out a victory over Mill Creek Exec in the nine hole survey which just ended this week. A new survey on East side courses started today.

September 07, 2005

Greystone scorecard info was updated today.

August 12, 2005

Legacy deal fell thru, and the Belfry is back, but the course is closed, and there are no firm plans to open again. They are still missing a clubhouse. This course has been snakebit from the start.

August 10, 2005

Valor, the VA Hosp Golf Course closed down, and was removed from our listings today.
