Davis is a well maintained 18 hole course out in the middle of scenic farm country with many amenities such as driving range, bar, grill and horseshoes. Many views of the surrounding hills can be seen from most of the holes. Davis is more like two golf courses. The front nine is open with few trees and the back nine is hilly, wooded, with streams around the greens. On the back nine, the holes more comfortably spaced apart from each other. This scenic course was built on a side of a hill, so there are a lot of uneven lies. The tree-lined fairways are fairly wide on the front nine, and narrower on the back. Ponds come into play on six holes and a stream comes into play on another three holes. The greens are fairly large, sloped and generally fast. One of the most challenging holes is #16, a 259-yard, par 4, which plays downhill through some trees, then uphill to an elevated green. Tall evergreen trees sit on both sides of the landing area. The back nine holes between 11-15 offer some great scenery and challenging holes with 90-degree doglegs, blind fairway shots, tree protected greens, and elevated tees and greens.
This is a great course and well groomed course. It's great to see what was once farm land changed to a new golf course , I played the front nine before the back nine was open and knew that the back nine was going to be even better. the personal touches by the staff make this course one of my favorites to play , and wow!!!! the views are awsome. If you get a chance you have to play the course you will love the challenges of this course from water and the great maintinance of the greens you can tell they try hard to make it a fun and worth the trip. You cant beat the price its more than worth it .
