Eagle Vale is a well-maintained and pretty course set in the middle of the Fairport/Periton area suburbs. Homes surround the course and are a problem for bad slicers on many of the holes. Water hazards come into play on six holes, including #11, a 383-yard, par 4, which has a large pond that must be crossed off the tee and a smaller one sitting in the landing area. The interior holes are in a natural setting with trees, water and sand hazards on most holes. This course has one of the best practice facilities around with a range, sand area, putting green and chipping green. Banquet facilities are comfortable. Eagle Vale is a popular location of many tournaments both for its location and amenities. Power carts are required during peak hours.
Course is in good condition and has some easy par 5's, but having some trick dog leg par 4's, however the have increased thier prices this year to 23 dollars walking on a weekday for nine holes. I would much rather play Shadow Lake or Pines for less money and they are just as nice if not better. Eagle Vale still still is a nice golf course with a very good practice area.

This is one of the nicest golf courses I have every played on. It is in perfect condition. The staff is very friendly. I prefer the front 9 but the back is still nice and well kept.

Just played it for the first time on 3/27/07. It was not in the best of shape but expected this early. Only played the back nine and it is ok. Number 16 is a pretty tough, overall a good course.

I played Eagle Vale for the first time a while on 9/8/06 and I was pleasantly surprised at the condition it was in. Historically the greens are pretty iffy, but I found them to be less grainy and much easier to putt than when I played in a league there 5 or so years ago. The fairways were great. As the trees on this course have matured it has become quite tight. While not very long, you had better put the drive in the fairway or risk jail time in the trees. The first hole is as good a beginning hole as you might find. The large pond on the right is out of reach for most except the bigger hitters but the long second shot in is intimidating as the lake looms to the right. The par 5's here are pretty easy, with #4 being the hardest in my opinion. The 10th and 18th are very reachable in two. Number's 6 and 7 are a good pair of par fours. The back features two quirky par fours in #11 and 15. Those two demand accuracy from the tee and most often it is wise to use an iron off both of those tees. Only in a scramble should you attempt to cut the corners on either of those two dog-legs as the landing areas are completely blind from the tees. I think that the last three holes are about as good a finish as any course around. All three usually play dead into the wind and while 18 is a short par five, it features out of bounds all the way down the right side. The biggest fault at Eagle Vale is that it is really not for women golfers. There is little difference from the reds to the white tees on most holes and the carries to the fairway from the ladies tees are pretty long. Your spouse will spend a lot of time hitting out of the rough for her second shot even thougth it went dead straight. Nice pro shop and club house and a solid practice area.
