This course is located on thirty-five acres of wooded terrain. This thirty-four year old forest has streams flowing throughout the course that come into play several times. The fairways are tree lined. The signature hole is #3, a 135-yard, par 3, located on an island in the middle of the course, requiring a shot from off a hill to the other side of the island. This is a family owned and operated course that has future plans to open a driving range and build a new clubhouse containing full facilities.
The Gentleman who had owned and operated the course before had done a fairly good job on the maintenance, but after his passing I believe his children have taken over. Now under their management the course is in horrible condition. Good luck finding your balls in the fairway with the grass being about 6inches high and semi sand traps full of weeds and debris. For the price its not worth it. 10 to 11 dollars is worth a course like St. John Fishers. Island Valley should only charge about 5 dollars.

This course is kind of a hard walk. I enjoyed this course a lot. very well maintained and a nice challenge. it was only my 5th and 6th rounds of golf and i was able to shoot pretty low. club rental is nice and friendly staff. spent under $20 on a full day of golfing. very nice.
