Course Description
Lake Shore has great banquet and practice facilities. The course is located near Lake Ontario at the corner of Greenleaf and Beach Roads. Lake Shore is open year-round, a great advantage if you need a round to tune up for your trip to Florida in January. This course features tree-lined fairways that can be quite narrow at times. In addition, the fairways are rolling, so you can expect many uneven lies. A pond comes into play on two holes, and many of the greens are either multi-tiered or elevated.

Played Lakeshore Saturday with my son and two friends. Apparently you are not supposed to bring children, wasn't notified of that until after he played 4 holes and you have to have a minimum handicap. Tried to let players play through but they were to busy chatting and then the next hole complained that my 9 yr old was slowing up thier play. Glad to see Lakeshore is so involved in working with kids to keep the game alive in the next generations. Last time I will play this course or attend any events their, for a semi Private club that welcomes "guests" I got better service and reception at County owned courses.

Calvin Black who designed this course was my grandfather. I know he designed other courses but this is the first i have researched...i will be coming to rochester to play the course.My grandfather Calvin was very interested in making golf available to the common man (and woman).
