Formerly the Lima Country Club, Charleston Pines now shares the same club house as Island Oaks. Water hazards (seven ponds and a few creeks) come into play on over half the holes.
Slow play is the worse part about playing here. Even with two courses, you can't help but playing a 5 hour (or more) round. Also, be prepared to get behind an occasional 5-some. And don't expect to play through - even if you are in a twosome. Course isn't bad, although I'll agree with another commenter on the course staying wet a long time. #14 is as tough a par 4 you can hope for. Staff is usually pretty friendly. Rates are improve a lot in the fall. I'll wait till then to play it again.
Recently re-done and better than ever. Offers a challenge for golfers of any level. Multiple tees so you can play it at any distance you prefer. Also has some of the nicest greens around, at times in the summer they are comparable to almost any private course.

Very wet most of the time. Holes are all mixed up since they modified it to start and end at the new clubhouse. Very long distances between some greens and tees. Shortage of signs telling where the next tee is. Not worth the $25 dollar senior fee.
