Mill Creek has all 18 holes open for play as of Sept 2005.
This is by far the best course on the west side of Rochester. Beautiful layout, many elevation changes make it challenging. The heather is growing in and getting thicker and thicker. Two thumbs up. Rates seem lower this year too!

Very nice, scenic course with lots of elevation changes! I didn't find it any more difficult than other area courses though, as the fairways are fairly wide open. Buying a yardage book so you know where you're going might be a good idea.

Played Mill Creek on Saturday morning. Luckily, I had a pass from Rochesterhalfpriced golf where the round had only cost $65 for 2 and a cart. They were charging $64 for 18 and a cart on Sat and Sun. Based on the course, this is wayyyy overpriced! I was treating my father to a round and he was coming from Buffalo, he had gotten off at the 490 exit and drove the back roads towards the course. He wasn't sure the road to turn on near the course so I asked the person at the proshop to help. Well, this person claimed he was new to the course and was the only one working other than the groundskeeping crews so it took a while for him to get there! Also, the tees were either too wet or too hard to even stick a tee in. On the 2nd tee, we had to wait for the sprinklers to aim in another direction and tee off in water because they had left on the sprinklers! I've played at Ravenwood where they have GPS carts and charge around the same rate. Mill Creek makes you pay $4 for a yardage book! I picked one up on the back nine after I realized there were not any in the cart. Overall, the course was ok but if I actually had to pay what they charged, I would have felt like I had been gypped!

First off, I don't why the staff is getting so much flack because they seemed cordial to me when I played there. But the course itself is amazing. I just played there earlier today and I was very impressed. The fairways and greens were manicured to near perfection, which I'm a sucker for. This course will not primarily test course your accuracy off the tee as the course is pretty wide open. However, the fairway bunkers (one impressive fairway bunker is the one on seven that is right in the middle of the fairway) and the rough can be very penal with the latter being fairly thick at times. The real test will be your short game. There are many different shots you can play around the greens including some collection areas that they have ala Pinehurst. Just avoid the greenside bunkers, especially the one on six - that'll eat you up. As for the greens themselves, they are very fast with many undulations. But you'll get many straight putts if you're on the right side of the hole. If there is a fault, it's of course the green fees. I just don't think you should have to pay more than $45 dollars for 18 and a cart even at a premium course like Mill Creek. However, I did take advantage of the Spring rates so that was nice.

This course is in the best shape possible and is very hard. The greens are hard and fast and the fairways run nice. 5 out of 5 amazing course but if u dont play well it can eat u up!!

This is a must play golf course, pricy, but still a must play facility. To bad the customer service rates an “F”. With the lack of service from check in, the rude starter, and the “player assistant” who was clueless, we still had a good time playing this beautiful golf course. Bring your “A” game to this facility, and be prepared to deal with “player assistants” who are anything but...

Mill Creek was awsome the staff is not. We played on a Saturday morning. They have these employees called player assistants that drive around while you play and I was in a group of three guys under the age of 25. I felt like he was stalking us we would see him hiding behind trees and just showing up out of no where. It was like he was waiting for us to do something wrong and then he colud kick us out. When we first arrived he told us if he saw our cart go off the path we would be asked to leave. Who says that to a group of guys who spent $65 apiece plus purchased equipment and beverages. Total lack of respect . I know we are young and we looked like trouble but if I was some punk do you think I would drive all the way out there to spend $100 and then get kicked off. The staff is a bunch of clowns and thats to bad because it is such a beautiful course.

Hands down the nicest and toughest course Rochester has to offer. Extremely fun, challenging, and conditioned. Greens are lightning fast and the pin placement will frustrate most golfers. Higher handicap players, as well as low, can get into a lot of trouble with the massive traps. 2 tiered greens and fairways, blind tee shots, and and 40-50 feet up and downhill slopes offer golfers the most unique experience available in monroe county. MUST PLAY!!!
Very dissapointed with the level of service, for $20 less at very similiar courses closer to Rochester there is a college student greeting you at your vehicle when you arrive helping with clubs. Once we made it to the club house the service was incorragable. The ONE person behind the counter was on the phone through the entire transaction. As for the course it is not a walkable design and there are so many blind shots our foursome was hit into on more than one occasion because there is no way for the golfers behind you to know if you are still on the hidden greens. Once we made the turn, there was no snack bar and to buy a simple gatorade took 15 minutes because again there was only ONE person behind the counter who again was on the phone. Leaving the parking lot I heard a Mill Creek commercial, if you can advertise you should be able to hire a few more people to take care of your customers. This was my last visit to Mill Crap!
all around one of the most difficult courses i have ever played, only complaint about the course itself is the number of blind shots off the tee and even on approaches.

Terrific course. A different experience from the typical course around here and while pricy is worth it. Hole 10 is not obvious from the tee. From the whites, layup at 170 or hit it 230 just left of center. You'll be sorry if you end up on the downslope.

A true test for the avid golfer!!!
Nice front 9, hole layout for #10 needs a lot of work, hole layout on #11 is not much better! Never got past hole #13, since it took our group 4 hours to play 13 holes! In addition, the General Manager had a rude reply when I questioned him about slow play. In fact the ranger was in the club house (trailer), when he should have been out on the course trying to speed up play! When you pay $54 to play 18 holes, you expect to play in 4 1/2 hours or less! Mill Creek does have nice greens, so if you are good with the putter, give it a try!

Very nice course, but it is way too expensive!!!
