This course features hilly fairways and undulating greens. The signature hole is #9, a 192-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot past a pond on the left side of the fairway to a well-bunkered green. The back nine is much longer than the front nine. Water hazards (six ponds) come into play on four holes, plus numerous sand bunkers protect both the fairways and greens. The course is part of the Greystone, Shadow Pines ownership, and is more challenging, but less upscale than Greystone. The Shadow Pines clubhouse has a more traditional feel over its sister courses.
This course is fun to play. The greens are of average speed but you get hit a lot of different shots. However, it's expensive for what you get and the staff is the worst. There is an in crowd. If you are not in the in crowd, they are just completely rude. I played here for five years and was treated poorly almost every time in the place. They have location on their side - that is the huge positive. Never again will I play here and never again will I speak highly of the place. I spent a lot of money here over the years and it was all a rip-off because of the staff. I just never made the in-crowd and never want to.

I've been playing this course as part of league in 2007. Great design. Maintenance seems to be a bit lacking this year, but still a good play.

I used to work at Shadow Pines. I actually learned how to play golf here. I just love this course. It has several challenging greens. some narrow fairways, but it not impossible to play well. The front is easy to walk but you must take a cart on the back 9. It is a golf course that you must try at least once!

I once played this course 5 consecutive times (it was a fund raiser). It is a challenging course with tree lined fairways. It is better to ride than walk, there are some hills. It is a fun course to play.
