Robert Trent Jones Sr. originally designed several greens at Sodus Bay in 1926 while he was a student at Cornell University. In 1966, Geoffrey Cornish added 9 holes and redesigned the existing 9 holes to make the current 18 hole course.

Course Description

Sodus Bay is considered one of the best courses in the Rochester area. The course was built on uneven terrain, resulting in undulating fairways. There are water hazards that come into play on four holes, and the wind is a major factor. The signature hole is #5, a 464-yard, par 4, requiring an approach shot over water to a fairly large green surrounded by sand bunkers. Read more about this course in my Blog.
