This course is located on an isolated natural setting near the city limits of Newark. It is built in a valley between two raised ridges. The course starts in the valley, and then goes up one side of the ridge to play holes on top of one plateau, then back down into the valley, and up and on top of the other plateau. Walking this course is a challenge. Although it has a below average slope of 103, the severe sloping hills on the back nine makes it difficult for the high handicapper. Water hazards, sand bunkers, and numerous trees have been incorporated into the course design. The ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men.
one of my favorite coures, short but very challinging, has gotten better with age, nice club house and staff.
